We had great experience with Micha and Nick. We were on vacation and they were able to squeeze us in and get us back on track for our vacation in a short time. They were also very knowledgeable and were able to explain what they were doing every step of the way.
Stopped in because we had an overheating problem with our mobile bird seed truck. They came out, did a quick scan and cleared the codes, gave me some other ideas of where to look and said no charge. Great to see a shop that takes time to help like that. Wish I had worked in more shops like that when I was pulling wrenches.The Wild Bird Store.
Driving through from out of town. The man who answered the phone wasn't able to help me because he was completely booked up and the shop wasnt capable of servicing a 36' motor home in the shop. But I have never felt so wowed after a rejection ever. I have never ever posted a review before but that was the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life and it was all over the phone. He said if no one else was able to help call back and he will see what he can do.
Hey guys, my review is that this company told me that for the job they needed to do replace my injectors will cost me between $4500 and $5000! They did the job and then they came to me with a bill of $7000! Ridiculous!Their mechanic came to give me a boost to my truck and the guy was speaking on the phone while he connected the red cable to the black cable of the battery! Thats really retarded.I drive my truck for 800 km and broke down my valve in the piston 6, this is probably what happened, after they replace the injectors they removed the rockers. One of the rockers was probably not torqued back on and after a small amount of driving the nut came off allowing the rocker to move resulting in damage to valves. Now in the end of this nightmare I decided to replace the engine with an long block, that cost me another $19000! In the end this company Stonehammer especially the guy up front Micah, they were very not nice to me, telling me to get out of their shop, because they dont have nothing to discuss or help! :(I went around and I find this little shop OTown that they were so nice and helpful all the way, they did an marvellous job replacing the new long block engine + I got oil change for free after 1000 km on the new engine! They are a very good shop for your diesel truck, OTown Diesel Inc in Okotoks they are the best and very fair, they got the best attitude and prices! Cheers
