I was very impressed with this campsite, we camped here on August long weekend. Staff was pretty helpful and rates for trailer spots with full hookups was totally reasonable. I found their bathrooms were the cleanest I'd ever seen for a campsite. Site was quiet and well maintained and the lots weren't packed right on top of each other like some other sites I've seen, you actually have some green space and a permanent firepit on each lot. For those with trailers, they didn't charge any extra to use their trailer sewage dump off when you're leaving (other sites charge $10 just to purge your tanks which is ridiculous). Also nice location hidden by trees and by the river, but also central Okotoks so if you need to run a quick errand you can go get more food or whatever very easily. I will definitely be coming back.
I really liked this place for tenting. Nice quite well maintained and secure campground. The tent spots have trees for shade and are against a fence. The bathrooms are nice and clean. Its 1 dollar for 5 min of warm shower water. The kids park is nice and big. The river close to the park moves fast but is very shallow so its popular with locals.
This place was awesome! Theres a river nearby, $20 all-you-can-eat sushi within walk-in distance, a massive playground for the kids, plenty of room between RVs, the bathrooms are squeaky clean AND amazingly friendly staff. Example: We had to put our dog down after 15 years on the day we were checking out, the woman at the front desk gave us a late checkout and said her condolences. Despite the loss of a family member, the Okotoks Lions RV Park will always have a special place in our hearts and we will definitely be back next time were in Country.
Great Campground Barb, Jim and Dave welcomed us withopen arms. While the wife checked in Jim and Dave lead me to our site and made sure I was ok with it. I have never seen such a well maintained campground. These people are constantly cleaning the property and buildings keeping it all spotless. We had a problem with our furnace and they recommended a rv tech who came out that day Great connection. We will be back when in the area for sure.
The campground itself is really nice, well kept. However the lady we dealt with on the way in was just OK. We were showing up late so for some reason they moved us away from our friends who booked it to a spot that would be easier to back into when its dark. However it wasnt dark, they didn't call us before moving us and they still parked someone else in that spot who showed up much later and darker than us. Yes. The spot next to our friends was still open when we got there but they still wouldn't give it to us. It's too bad we had that experience cause the place is quite nice.
