Our 6 year old French Bulldog passed away unexpectedly which was a huge blow for my wife and family. We had significant vet bill because of the test etc ($1200) and we ordered paw prints as a special moments which took some time to come in. As we live an hour away I called to ask if they could ship them to me and save me a 2 hour round trip. Shipping cost would be around $15. Ive now called 3 times and have been promised a call back twice, only to be ignored. When I asked if they could just ship them to me and I could pay the cost after they said they needed me to pay up front. Funny how they can easily rack up $1200 in fees and when a grieving family is trying to get their paw prints they arent willing to cover $15 or trust me to pay that back once shipped. They asked for my credit card number and wont send it until I pay in advance even though they havent got an exact shipping price from Purolator. Disrespect at its highest level.
I brought by poor cat here at 1am after his neuter went array, he was bleeding profusely and I could not contact the Calgary Pet Wellness Spay and Neuter Clinic that had performed the neuter. The Dr. who took our cat in was incredibly helpful. We were so worried about the cost and she was careful to only perform the only most necessary of procedures, while doing the most to treat our cat carefully. We were very grateful. She even called the next day to check on our cat's wellbeing and to offer advice!!
All pricing aside- my parents brought their beautiful German Shepherd Taurus in for a hip surgery on one leg and the removal of pins in the other; and all was good until a huge infection set in where they removed the pins. Pain relief should be paramount for animals and My parents had to take Taurus back over i4 times because the pain meds were not working for him. Everytime they went back they saw a different Dr until my parents demanded that Taurus remain at the clinic so that his pain could be managed. My mom went back the next day and she waited for half an hour to see him all the while she could hear him crying in the back. Finally he stopped and she asked why and they said that they had to sedate him because his pain was so high. What took them so long? Would they have sedated him if my mom hadnt gone back to see him? This is an emergency clinic - however; nothing can be done until the Surgeon decides to get back to them. Taurus has been at the clinic over 24hours in excruciating pain!! I am absolutely sick with how he has been made to suffer.
What a great clinic! Came in at 1AM and had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Campbell to see our sick dog. She was caring, patient, and knowledgeable. Its so nice to have the staff love and treat your dog/animal like it were their own. Great experience!
We brought our dog in, in pretty bad shape suffering from Eclampsia. We were not thrilled with the amount they were asking to help her, but can you really put a price on a loved one?They saved her life. We couldnt ask for anything more
