Welcoming spot. Older interior but that is half the charm. The staff seemed quite friendly. Pub food is pub food is pub food... but a nice, casual place for drinks and socializing if you are in the area. I wasn't expecting a busy pub in Okotoks, but it was a full house the weekend I went.
Solid 3 out of 5 pub food & drink. Beer was cold. Calamari was tasty especially with the Opa's Tzatziki sauce and spicy Thai sauce. The Burger was hot and tasty, as was the Rueben sandwich. Unfortunately the bun and bread both turned into a soggy mess. We had to deconstruct them it was so bad. The fries looked over cooked, but the waitress said that's because of the type of potato used. The gravy that came with the fries was good but couldn't save the fries. They didn't have much taste except for the oil they were fried in. The service was fast and friendly. The pub is looking pretty tired and could use a revamp. We probably wouldn't make an effort to come back or recommend it to family and friends...cheers
A few good beer, but not many considering that it is a traditional pub. An interesting menu, with a pasta special on the night we were there. I tried the house special Cottage Pie - this was a little bland, and overly salted.Overall, just OK.
Good beer selection (even has some local craft options). Good food. Good staff. Looks great inside as well.
Stopped by on May long weekend after a busy day of hard labour in back yard. Excellent way to say thank you to the volunteer crew! Staff friendly, good sized hungry-person meals, and atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Highly recommend.
